Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Contract Manager for a fixed term or secondment into a busy team to cover an anticipated 6 months maternity leave or until the post holder returns. You will be working full time (37.5 hours as week) based at County Hall in Norwich; however, the majority of your time will be spent working from home. At other times, the post holder may be required to travel or work at any location within the Norfolk and Waveney ICB system at any time throughout the duration of their contract.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible, for leading the contract management of and provide support to a portfolio of contracts; developing positive relationships with providers and customers. The postholder will lead the management of a range of contracts across the dimensions of activity, cost, performance and service delivery; highlighting and supporting the resolution of contract risk, as well as supporting Senior/Lead Contract Managers in the management of larger contracts.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Desirable

  • Relevant degree subject
  • Professional management or business qualification

Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of three years in a relevant management post
  • Significant experience of healthcare contract negotiation and management
  • Experience of working in a large, complex organisation
  • Experience of developing and implementing systems and processes

  • Significant NHS contract management experience
  • Experience of working with primary and secondary health care providers

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - influencing, negotiating and communication (written and verbal) across all levels both internal and external audiences
