Main duties of the job

The post holder will work on the novel interventional BiBBS birth cohort which completes recruitment in July 2024 with ~6,000 families from ethnically diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. The post holder will provide analytical support to reap the learning from this cohort to learn more about the social determinants of early years development, how to reduce inequalities and understand the impact of multiple early-years interventions. They will have the opportunity to learn and apply methods in a novel field of research - the impact of combinations of interventions and services to identify which "stacks" / "pathways" have the greatest impact on child outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in epidemiology/statistics, an understanding of the social determinants of child development, experience of working with large datasets, including cohort and/or routine health and education data, and experience of relevant methodologies suitable for this programme of research evidenced by first author publications.
