Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The postholder will have the support team report to them, and will ensure that the MSESCR is available and functioning as expected, providing access to shared clinical records to users across the ICS, including NHS Trusts, LAs, Care homes and other settings.

The postholder will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the application environment and will provide high level technical support for the service

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Certified Professional

Desirable

  • PRINCE Practitioner
  • Awareness of NHS clinical information systems
  • ITIL Service Level Management certification or equivalent experience

Skills

Essential

  • Experience of team management
  • Able to analyse information from a range of sources
  • Ability to follow defined processes and adhere to prevailing standards of governance
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience providing application support within an ICT environment
  • Extensive experience of working within defined Service Level Agreements & Service Level Targets

Desirable

  • NHS experience within Information Services or equivalent
  • Experience of support or implementation of Shared Care Records in the NHS
  • Evidence of servicing information requirements in a complex environment
  • Experience within an NHS Information development role or a software developer role at a senior management level
