We have an exciting opportunity to join the Wolfson Fertility Team.

If you join us you will have the opportunity to:

o Develop your fertility, surgical, and gynaecological nursing skills in a supportive environment.

o Provide a high standard of care for your patients.

o Work alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team including specialist fertility nurses, embryologists and doctors.

You will work as a part of Multidisciplinary Team with additional support from our Clinical Practice Educator. There are many learning opportunities available including, fertility, theatre, egg collections, embryo transfers, basic scanning, pain management, health promotion, patient education, pre-operative, intra operative and post procedure care, patient observation and discharge planning.

Main duties of the job

To support specialist nurses in the management and delivery of specialist clinics and the care and assessment of fertility patients.

To deliver high quality, effective, individualised nursing care to all patients undergoing sub fertility investigations and procedures, ensuring a safe environment and providing a high level of information and support to patients.

To share knowledge and skills with other members of the team.

Person Specification

EDUCATION

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Relevant nursing/health related degree or diploma

Desirable

  • Evidence of post registration professional development

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Essential

  • Medication administration skills, including IV drug administration (or a willingness to undergo training)
  • Good team worker
  • Computer skills

Desirable

  • Venepuncture and cannulation

EXPERIENCE & Knowledge

Essential

  • Recent experience working in an acute area
