Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager on Ward C7W, Elective T&O Royal Gwent Hospital.
Candidates should be forward thinking, be able to demonstrate good clinical and assessment skills and able to manage the team in the absence of the ward sister. The ability to support the Ward Manager in managing the ward in a fast paced and challenging environment; to demonstrate excellent communication, decision-making and motivational skills along with patient centred care are essential qualities for this post.
Main duties of the job
You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and have an understanding of how to improve and provide safe, quality care for patients and their relatives.
If you are dedicated to improving the patient experience and committed to providing a positive environment for colleagues and patients, then this clinical area will enhance your job satisfaction by developing your clinical and managerial skills. The division is committed to supporting your continuous professional development in line with your personal development plan.
Significant post registration experience of working in an Trauma & Orthopaedic area is a requirement for the role in conjunction with education to degree level or working towards the attainment of a degree.
