Job summary

Do you have the drive to join an experienced, highly motivated team of clinicians to deliver responsive and effective services?

An exciting opportunity has become available to make a significant contribution to our core CAMHS service as a Team Lead.

You will be joining the service at a time of rapid development allowing you the opportunity to support the implementation of new service offers and ways of working. You will work collaboratively with other operational and clinical leads whilst directly line managing clinical staff, leading a team and supporting service developments. You will be a compassionate leader, supporting staff whilst being solution focused. This is an operational role although an understanding of child and adolescent health services would be beneficial.

30 hours + will be considered between Monday Friday, hours primarily being between 09:00 17:00, The trust offers flexible working opportunities. You will be based at one of the Worcestershire CAMHS bases and will be expected to travel to other sites. Expenses will be covered.

Main duties of the job

A current professional qualification (RN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist)

Evidence of continuous and recent professional development and post qualification training/studies

Previous experience providing a service to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary team

Able to demonstrate evidence-based practice

Operational leadership experience or experience managing a clinical team

Knowledge of current NHS and national priorities in relation to mental and emotional health and wellbeing of Children and Young People

Evidence of motivational leadership skills and being an effective team player

The ability to develop new skills and manage change / conflict

Experience in undertaking research projects or clinical audits

Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post

Current registration with appropriate professional body

Qualifications

Essential

  • A current professional qualification (RMN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist)
  • Evidence of continuous and recent professional development and post qualification training/studies
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

Desirable

  • Relevant accredited courses e.g. Leadership / Management Qualification
  • Supervision and/or mentorship training
  • Non-medical prescriber

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in undertaking research projects / clinical audits
  • Significant recent clinical experience post- registration
  • Previous experience providing a service to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to demonstrate evidence-based practice
  • Leadership experience / experience managing a clinical team
  • Experience of working with patients with severe and enduring mental illness
  • Experience of partnership working / liaison in inter-agency environment
