University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.

Please see below for detailed job description of the role.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting a Clinical research fellow in respiratory paediatric sleep medicine. This is a great opportunity for those training or wishing to develop a clinical or research interest in respiratory sleep disorders, in particular neonatal sleep disorders. This will either be a junior or senior role depending on experience and level of current training.

Up to 50% of your time will be spent on research service provision for the paediatric respiratory sleep service. This involves a number of studies but predominantly research around neonatal sleep. The remaining research time will be available to be spent supervised by Dr Hazel Evans with the intention of providing the time and support for an application to be made for a formal externally funded research training fellowship and registration for study towards a higher degree (usually PhD or MD). The post will include 1 clinic activity per week and training in respiratory paediatric sleep medicine. The post will be appointed for 1 year in the first instance. Where appropriate, funding may be extended by fixed time periods where academic progress is considered satisfactory.
