Practice Nurse
Hours:Up to 37.5 hours per week (negotiable)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, dedicated, clinical team.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced Practice Nurse working in General Practice, but we would be open to training the right candidate if they have no General Practice experience.
Main duties of the job
You will preferably have experience in chronic disease/case management including:
Diabetes
COPD
Asthma
Anticoagulation monitoring
Coronary Heart Disease
The following specific nursing skills/qualifications are highly desirable:
Cervical cytology
Childhood immunisations
INR Star and anticoagulation monitoring
Spirometry
Phlebotomy
Wound care
The following personal attributes are essential:
Commitment to continuing professional development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop clinical protocols to be disseminated with the wider team.
Ability to work without direct supervision and determine workload priorities, for yourself and others.
The successful candidate will hold a Registered General Nurse qualification and be registered with the NMC.

Hours of work are between 8.30 and 6.30pm Monday to Friday (hours negotiable) and some flexibility is required.

We are a suburban practice with mixed socio-economic population. A modern skill mixed progressive team serving a population of around 8000 patients - with 2 GP Partners, 2 long term Locum GP's , 3 ANP's, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 HCA & an excellent administration support team.
We use Emis web and have access to Lexacom digital dictation. We have easy and fast access to M56, M53 and A55 so are easily accessible from Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and North Wales. We are uniquely localised between two nearest hospitals providing secondary care services - Wrexham (under NHS Wales) and Chester (under NHS England)
