Fixed-Term

£99,532 to £131,964

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a replacement Gastroenterologist at Conquest Hospital. The post-holder will lead specific duties as part of the development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the speciality.

Main duties of the job

The appointee should have a special interest in Gastroenterology and will be joining a department, which has increased its staffing of full-time consultants with further expansion planned, and is looking to sub-specialise; as such the development of a sub-speciality interest such as advanced endoscopy skills and/or an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease or hepatology is desirable. There is work being done to see how a 7 day service in Gastroenterology / Endoscopy will look as part of the national drive to provide more comprehensive 7 day services and it is expected that the new post holders will contribute to the development and running of such a service as it is agreed.

The appointee may occasionally be asked to cover endoscopy lists and clinics at the alternate site and they may undertake duties on other hospital sites managed by the Trust (e.g. Bexhill, Uckfield and Rye)

All applicants must have a full GMC registration with a licence to practise
