Neurological Rehabilitation/Spinal Cord Injuries- Maternity leave

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Band 6 Physiotherapist. The Northwest Regional Spinal Injuries Centre is one of the twelve specialist centres across the UK, that provides specialist care and rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injury.
There will be opportunities to develop your Neurological, Musculo-skeletal and Respiratory assessment and treatment skills. You would be working across a ward and therapy gym environment with additional opportunities to rehabilitate within our hydrotherapy pool. There are also services provided within an outpatient and community setting.
We are passionate about service development and quality improvement, therefore we ensure to provide learning opportunities through fortnightly therapy in-service training, a monthly multi-disciplinary team journal club and networking opportunities.
We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team to strive for patient centred care. As part of your role, you will be involved in supporting students through their placements and developing our new graduates within a preceptorship programme.

- To assess and treat patients within the inpatient, outpatient, or Community setting.
- To assist Clinical Therapy Manager/Team Leader in service development and the provision of a quality service.
- To take responsibility for junior members of staff and delegate duties as necessary, always providing an appropriate level of support.
- To meet the Therapy, Community and Continued Care Service objectives.
- To cover for absence when required within the Community and Departments of Southport & Ormskirk Hospital Trust To take part in the On Call Respiratory rota if applicable.
