Job summary

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow post in Obstetric Anaesthesia at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for 6 months - 1 year from August 2024.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work in a 1 in 8 EWTD compliant rota to provide anaesthetic cover in obstetrics on labour ward and support the on call anaesthetic team when necessary including the theatre anaesthetists and ICU team.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. Person Specification

Essential

Essential

  • Full registration with the GMC
  • At least 6 months working in anaesthesia in the UK.
  • Minimum 3 years of postgraduate training. Minimum 18 months of anaesthetic training in a recognised programme, and primary FRCA examination.

Desirable

  • FRCA or equivalent
  • Experience in obstetric anaesthesia at SpR level.
  • At least 3 months ITU training. Experience in specialities other than anaesthesia
