Main duties of the job

Critical Care Services is a portfolio of specialties/departments comprising: Children with Medical Complexities (CMiC)/Discharge service; High Dependency Care (HDU plus/HEET); Paediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Teams (KIDSNTS); Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU); Paediatric Palliative Care (PPC); Paediatric Assessment for Clinical Intervention and Education (PACE); Site Practitioners and Hospital Operations Centre.

Main duties of the job are:

  • To support the General Manager, Clinical Leads, Head of Nursing and Lead Nurses within Critical Care services by providing operational support for day-to-day service delivery within available resources and in compliance with Trust policies and procedures, relevant legislation and regulatory provisions.
  • Ensuring robust operational implementation of policy, business objectives, and agreed targets.
  • Line Management of Business/Admin Managers within Critical care services with sound overview of all administrative processes within Critical Care services.
  • Management of assigned budgets
  • Support the General Manager with short term projects, business case development, risk management and cost improvement plans.
