Job summary

A brand new opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pathway Lead to join the team at Alliance Medical.

Working with our business leaders in the South, you will undertake fact based analysis to understand local pathway opportunities and barriers and use this information to establish positive solution driven relationships with referring clinicians. You will work closely with the business leaders who are responsible for referral volumes at a site / regional level to provide clinical expertise on pathway design and referrer engagement.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Pathway Lead will deliver opportunities to increase referrals to AML services through pathway improvement and design and reduce turnaround time to diagnosis for patients through engagement with referrers and other clinical stakeholders, by identifying and reducing unexplained variations in access.

Essential

  • Registered Clinical Professional
  • Understanding of the whole patient pathway and experience of managing the key issues to address and support improved access to diagnostics
  • Experience of working on/closely with MDTs
  • Experience and understanding of ICBs and clinical commissioning and it's effect on referrals into and from diagnostics
  • Skilled at clinical pathway development, with a track record of innovation and implementation
  • Experience of direct engagement with referring clinicians, including specialist consultants
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience within Cancer networks

Desirable

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Master's qualification in healthcare management
  • Experience in developing and working with imaging referral pathways in Community Diagnostic Centres
