Job summary

We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic , motivated Band 4 Registered Nursing Associate to work within the Integrated Health Team in Shipston and Wellesbourne. We are really fortunate to be based in the town of Shipston On Stour, our work area includes the surrounding rural villages.

As a Nurse Associate you will need to be flexible and hardworking as part of your role you will be seeing patients in their own home environment, under minimal supervision once you have demonstrated your clinical competencies adhering to SWUFT's policies.

As a trust we pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care and you will need to demonstrate how you will ensure this through your application/ interview.

Working within a variety of staff groups communication skills are a key skill.

There is a requirement to have good IT skills as the Trust uses electronic patients records.

You will be required to have completed or about to complete the Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent higher apprenticeship. Main duties of the job

The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing and care and within all aspects of the nursing process.

Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct.

The following criteria identify the core components of the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of nursing associates. They identify what nursing associates can contribute to the health and wellbeing of patients and service users, and apply across all health and care settings. Integral to all of these is the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.

Qualifications

  • GCSE level A - C English and Maths or equivalent
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree/Higher Apprenticeship
