The Team is multi-disciplinary and is based at Stepping Hill Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a member of the ADHD/ASD service. The post holder is responsible for providing assessment and formulation for adults presenting with ADHD/ASD and provide evidence based interventions.

Main Contacts: Wide range of agencies involved with the mental healthand welfare of adultsJob SummaryThe post holder will be a member of the ADHD/ASD service. The post holder isresponsible for providing assessment and formulation for adults presenting withADHD/ASD and provide evidence based interventions. In addition the post holderwill be encouraged to develop a specific therapeutic modality as a speciality for theservice.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical To ensure high quality assessment of adults referred to the ADHD/ASD service. To provide or provide access to a range of quality psychotherapeuticinterventions in accordance with individual assessed need. This will include theassessment planning implementation and evaluation of a variety of therapeuticapproaches either alone or as a member of the MDT. To deliver therapeutic input to adults referred to the team and provide carers withrelevant information. Work as a co-worker where appropriate with other members of the MDT. To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake casemanagement responsibilities within the caseload. To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the adult and others in linewith Pennine care policies, procedures and protocols. To liaise closely with a wide range of agencies regarding individual carepackages and to promote awareness of adult mental health issues within theseagencies. Undertake liaison and joint work with other professionals outside of the M|DTAFC 03/05/17 JME-077-17 Senior MHP ADHD/ASD Band 6 Ensure collection of relevant information required by Pennine Care NHSFoundation Trust To routinely monitor effectiveness of clinical work by use of Routine OutcomeMeasures (ROM) and where outcomes are not improving for adults to engage inclinical review via peer review meetings and supervision.Managerial and Administrative To attend team, clinical, business and other meetings as required. To manage own workload and time effectively. To undertake accurate record keeping. To provide and enter data for local information management systems. To contribute to peer supervision within the adult ADHS/ASD service. To give and receive regular clinical management supervision and to participate inappraisal. To participate in the development of education and training programmes. To maintain own education and awareness of current developments within theservice. In conjunction with the Clinical Lead/Primary Care Service Manager ensure thatappropriate supervision is available and attended for any specialistpsychotherapeutic treatment intervention offered by the post holder such as CBT,CAT or family therapy.Development Maintain a current professional portfolio and participate on programmes ofpersonal development and training, which will be identified as part of theindividual performance and development review. Undertake personal development in line with Pennine policy.
