Band 5 Staff nurse, 24 hours per week, Coronary Care Unit West Cumberland Hospital. Fixed Term for 12 months

We are seeking a motivated registered Nurse to join our team on a fixed term basis

We are an 8 bedded unit offering experience in Cardiology. We also run the acute NIV service for West Cumbria Patient.

You should be highly committed to best Practice and be able to work with in a Team environment, and have outstanding communication skills.

Main duties of the job

Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit.

Support Patients, and their families, during their diagnosis and treatment

Liaise with other department both at WCH and CIC to ensure the safe transfer of the Patients.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse adult with active NMC registration or working towards

Desirable

  • Relevant post-registration development or equivalent
  • ILS or equivalent

Experience

  • Work as a student nurse or general nursing in the NHS or equivalent

Desirable

  • Supporting students.
  • Coronary Care Experience
  • Budgetary awareness.

Knowledge
