Job summary

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of high-quality management of the Administration Services within Manchester including , but not exhaustive of Administrative Supervisors, Medical Secretaries, Team Secretaries, Reception Services and Management Secretaries/PA's within your managed area.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the development of staff teams to ensure quality of service and all performance targets are met. You will assist your teams in the development of local policies and procedures, along with the dissemination and training of these policies and procedures.

The post holder will also ensure that achievement of the national standards are met within their area and provide a confidential, efficient and service user friendly approach to each service within the division.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

Essential

  • Must be educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years staff management experience
  • Advanced skills in the use of all packages within Microsoft Office i.e. excel

Desirable

  • Working knowledge and training of all Trust systems and IT systems

Experience

Essential

  • Managing change in a controlled environment
  • Contact with service users
  • Working in a confidential environment
  • Previous experience working in a customer care environment
  • Previous experience of supervising / managing a team
  • Experience of completing staff appraisal and PDP
  • Experience of managing staff sickness and welcome back to work meetings / procedures
  • Experience of staff training

  • Use of office equipment i.e scanners / faxes

Essential

  • Understand all local and national targets
  • Understand what the Trust vision is
  • Be knowledgeable on best methods for change management and how to implement change using these methods
