Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic, full time Clinical Administrator to join our friendly team who deliver a high quality and efficient service to our patients. You will be required to provide a wide range of administrative tasks to assist in the delivery of excellent Primary Care Services.

Main duties of the job

Handle, organise and code clinic letters, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the medical practice.

Manage the email inbox, promptly responding to enquiries and facilitating clear communication with patients and healthcare professionals.

Use the AskMyGP platform to engage with patients, efficiently allocate them to suitable clinicians, and ensure they receive timely and personalised care.

Summarise patient medical records, ensuring crucial information is readily accessible and accurate for medical staff.

Generate reports for drug monitoring, contributing to the safe and effective treatment of patients.

Enter cervical screening results, proactively sending reminders to patients, promoting regular screening and preventive care.

Manage bowel screening results. Sending reminders to non-responders.

Conduct premises checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, Including emergency lighting checks, water temperature assessments for Legionella prevention, fire extinguisher visual inspections, fridge temperature checks and thorough cleaning audits.

Keeping vaccination records, recording, and filing them to make sure they are up to date and easy retrievable when needed.

Opening and scanning on mail that comes into the practice.

Scanning and Digitising documents and patient notes.

Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working with the general public.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Confident in the use of IT.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of using SystmOne.
  • Previous experience in an NHS setting or GP Practice.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A-C
  • Experience in an administrative role
