UHDB are looking for motivated, enthusiastic doctors to join their Trust. A busy, progressive, forward thinking Trust, we have been successfully recruiting to these posts for 4 years and would like you to join our consultants and teams working in Acute Medicine.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint Junior Clinical Fellow's at F2+ level to join our Acute Medicine Department.

This is a rotational 12-month fixed term post.

  • 6 months Rehabilitation Medicine based within the community at Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth or Samuel Johnson Community Hospital, Litchfield
  • 6 months Acute Medicine based at Queens Hospital Burton

This is a Trust post and therefore not recognised for training, however, the post holders shall be afforded the same training opportunities and programme as other Specialty junior doctors, providing a wide range of experience and training. Candidates would have access to learning opportunities, access our state of art simulation facility/library and resources in medical education centre. You will receive educational and clinical supervision, dedicated study leave budget and specified days study leave, and support to maintain an eportfolio. Subject to individual requirements, there is also scope to attend ALS or IMPACT courses. We will be keen to support and facilitate your annual appraisal to help you progress and develop into your future.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • MRCP Part 1

Desirable

  • Advanced Life Support certification

Essential

  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice at time of application
  • A minimum 2 years post qualification experience in Medical Specialities (in the UK or abroad) at the time of appointment start, including experience in Acute Medicine/ Medical specialities

Desirable

  • Minimum 6 months experience in NHS hospitals within the last 2 years
