Job summary
We are seeking a Childrens Physiotherapist to join our
passionate and experienced team, who offer service to Children and Young People
(CYP) across Worcestershire. We work with
Children aged 0-18 with a range of presenting difficulties, in a variety of
settings including homes, nurseries, mainstream and special schools and in our
clinic bases.
Our service has 3 bases across
Worcestershire, in Redditch, Kidderminster and Worcester and we work very
closely with our Childrens Occupational Therapy colleagues, in many cases
being co located in bases.
We have a variety of roles and
bandings within the service, including team leads, clinical specialists, Physio
Technicians and apprentices. This
enables us to offer supportive supervision, training and development
opportunities.
This is a dynamic, innovative and friendly team who work
in partnership with families and young people to offer high quality care. The
service is moving towards implementing the balanced system and are currently
following a clinical prioritisation approach. This is an exciting time of service
development within the service.
Main duties of the job
To
take responsibility for managing children and young people with particular
conditions and be responsible for providing specialist assessments and
treatment plans for children and young people with these presentations. This includes children with developmental
delay/ learning difficulties, neurological conditions and musculoskeletal
injuries.
You
will be expected to develop individual treatment programmes using assessment,
reasoning skills and treatment skills based on a sound knowledge of evidence
based practice and a range of treatment options.
You
will work closely with your multi disciplinary and multi agency colleagues to
ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
This would include health, social care and education colleagues.
You
will need to have a good understanding of safeguarding of children and young
people.

Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in a variety of specialties, including a minimum of 6 months in paediatric physiotherapy
- Experience of supervision of junior staff or students
- Experience of delegation to qualified and unqualified staff
- Community experience for minimum of 3 months
- Team working
Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy - MCSP
- HCPC membership
- Post graduate course relevant to paediatrics
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
