Main duties of the job

Joining one a key team here at The McIndoe Centre, we are on the lookout for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef. Playing an integral role within the catering team, you will work alongside experienced chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment, assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards. About you:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
  • Passion for food and eagerness to learn new culinary skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Level 2 food safety or higher (Level 2 can be provided)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A working ethic aligned to our core values as a group: Caring, Friendly, Quality, Integrity and Pride.

Salary up to £14,215.50 per annum (£23,692.50 FTE)
