Job summary
We are looking to recruit to a full time Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.
The successful candidate will support the new Adult ADHD and ageless ASD service and the post holder will support the team in delivering on timely assessment and evidenced based post diagnostic intervention. This post will be to support interventions with service users and will also have a role in undertaking some administration duties to support the teams.
This post will provide support, and spend therapeutic time with an allocated group of ADHD and ASD service users.
The successful candidate will promote and support the physical health, comfort, wellbeing and recovery of service users and to assist them in the recovery of their difficulties.
Main duties of the job
- Providing routine advice on areas of knowledge/expertise, in a manner relevant to the audience and topic area (i.e. patients, carers, complexity)
- Liaison with partner services and
- Preparation/completion of routine documents, including letters, reports, presentations and forms e.g. photocopying, filing.
- Handling telephone queries including a shared responsibility for reception

Job responsibilities
The post holder will undertake the following duties and responsibilities at all times demonstrating the competences assigned to the role detailed in the associated KSF outline:
- Communicates with service users and families, all members of the multi-disciplinary team and staff in external agencies using a variety of methods including Information
- Regularly reports and effectively communicates the health status and care aims of Adult ADHD service users in care records and verbal reports to Registered Health Professional staff members and other members of the multi-disciplinary
- Relates appropriately with service user, carers, colleagues and others at all times maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications
Essential
- oAdvanced Apprenticeship in (Mental) Health and Social Care or NVQ 3 in (Mental) Health and Social Care with demonstrable evidence of numeracy and literacy skills (equivalent GCSE's or Functional Skills)
Experience

- Experience of working with people with ADHD and/or ASD needs as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge
