Job summary

An exciting role for a Minor Illness Practitioner with prescribing to be part of our medical practice in West Yorkshire. This is a unique 1-year locum position, with guaranteed sessions. You shall be part of a team of a large multi-professional team of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners,Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and HCAs. Our ANPs lead on specific areas of interest.

Ths successful candidate shall work 6 hours per day with an hour gap, flexibily.

You will be an independent prescriber, fully registered and licensed with a healthcare professional body, with a right to work in the UK.

The post holder is expected to be up to date with current regional and national prescribing guidance, as well as NICE guidance.

Main duties of the job

This role shall be at the front-end of the Practice, and will be similar to a walk-in facility, except these patients will all be minor ailments and shall be booked on the day.

The successful candidate will be expected to see 5 patients per hour and shall be expected to work with the wider practice team.

The main site is 5 minutes from the M62 and easily accessible from all of West Yorkshire. The practice has successfully implemented and overhaul of teams and processes over the last 4 years.

  • Basic Health Care Clinician Qualification, such as RGN. In addition, we would want the candidate to have adequate experience of working within an acute setting of the NHS.
  • A minor illness and prescribing qualification are mandatory.
  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Working in A&E / out of hours/ urgent care settings
