Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Band 3 Appointments Administrator to work within the Targeted Lung Health Check Team.

This is a new post working with a team under a national scheme that identifies people aged 55-74 at increased risk of lung cancer who have ever smoked.

Main duties of the job

The post:

You will be responsible for logging outpatient referrals onto the TLHC Patient Administration System, inviting patients to take part in the TLHC programme or telephoning patients to arrange an appointment, ensuring that all appointments are booked in accordance within Trust and TLHC timescales and manage administrative tasks associated with appointments booked via the TLHC system. You will also book review appointments as requested and monitor patients who cancel appointments and re appoint them.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum GCSE qualification in English Language or equivalent.

Desirable

  • ECDL
  • NVQ3 administration/ customer care or relevant experience.

Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of NHS systems
