Job summary

We have anexciting opportunity within our emerging Intermediate Care Teamfor a skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in the Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale areas of Kent with the responsibility toprovidespecialist assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for adult patients living in the community with complex and complicated care needs, referred into the service.

In addition, you'llprovide advice, support and education for patients and their families/carers, voluntary agencies and all those working with the patient regarding their medical condition and how this affects the persons lifestyle and environment in order to maintain relationships, roles and independence.

This is a fixed-term part-time position working 21hours perweek until 30th March23025. There is some flexibility on how the 21 hours can be worked across 3 days per week Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapistyou will:

  • Maintain the high standards of the department by contributing towards individual and service objectives.
  • Provide clinical support and supervision to junior colleagues and offer training to students.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a Team, and to participate in innovation and service development of the pulmonary rehab service to benefit patients and colleagues.
  • Completecomplex holistic assessments in the management of patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
