This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding consultant body providing care to women in Hillingdon. This is a 10PA substantive consultant (Postnatal Lead) post in obstetrics.
The ideal candidate will have a high standard of obstetric skills. The timetable allows the postholder to maintain a breadth of skills across the specialty, with the intention of development of the job plan in line with special interests.
The post holder will participate in the consultant on-call rota for obstetrics which includes 1 in 10 weekends on call with prospective cover (4-5 weekends per year). This is a non-resident on-call rota.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible to the Divisional Director of Planned Care at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and job plan negotiated annually. It is a 10 PA post -8.19 PAs direct clinical care (DCC), 1.75 PAs supporting professional activities (SPA). The post-holder will be full time at The Hillingdon Hospital Trust.
The post-holder will work closely with their colleagues, be responsible for providing a high-quality Obstetrics & Gynaecology service to the residents of Hillingdon, and for development of services appropriate to these ends.
The post-holder will take part in the in-patient and outpatient work in Obstetrics at Hillingdon Hospital, Mount Vernon or other sites as required, including an advisory service for colleagues.
