Job summary

  • Act as an effective and positive role model providing compassionate leadership and clinical advice and support for staff, in particular to the B7\'s leading the public health agenda teams
  • Provide specialist knowledge, advice and clinical expertise in all areas of the public health pathways in Maternity. This will incorporate Infant Feeding BFI, Pelvic Health, Smoking cessation, Complex Needs
  • Identify and facilitate strategies for service improvement and potential development
  • Work collaboratively with the Matrons for Inpatient and community services cross site, but in particular with the Matron for the Fetal Maternal Medicine pathways
  • Deputise for the Deputy Head of Midwifery in times of absence
  • Take part in the on call rota

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Midwife to join our growing senior midwifery team, to guide and support the delivery of outstanding care within our maternity services

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation, administration and monitoring of public health and maternity pathways, with responsibility for performance management of key indicators.

You will will act as a member of the senior midwifery team and interact with wider health and social care and commissioning structures as required

This is a cross-site role working across our East (Exeter) and North (Barnstaple) catchment areas

This is a new post and therefore maybe subject to change in the future

Working Pattern: 18.75 hours per week
