Are you an enthusiastic administrator who is interested in supporting The Christie in the delivery of a programme of education?

The Christie PET-CT Academy is looking for a highly motivated, innovative, Administrator to support the Academy. The team delivers a nationally and internationally recognised comprehensive programme of education courses and events.

Our flexible and innovative programme is a key part of The School of Oncology's portfolio, which includes master's level education, surgical short courses, and clinical skills training. The PET-CT Academy has a regional, national, and international reputation for the quality of its education and training.

We are looking for a team member who can contribute to our forward-thinking approach to education, which includes the creative use of technology. The successful candidate will have an ability to think creatively and work across boundaries to effectively undertake this role.

You will work closely with all members of the PET-CT Academy education team to provide administrative support for the Academy's education and training programmes and Events and Marketing initiatives. You will act as the first point of contact within the PET-CT Academy for all queries, problems, and requests, ensuring they are logged and tracked.

Job responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Administration

Maintain robust data collection, management and reporting mechanisms, in accordance with GDPR.

Work closely with colleagues in the PET-CT Academy team to ensure that all systems are in place to facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of all data requirements.

Facilitate the effective use of data within the scope of the role to support the objectives of PET-CT Academy, working closely with the team to illicit, understand and support their reporting and data requirements.

Apply statistical and analytical knowledge to critically appraise and challenge the results of outputs ensuring only meaningful information is delivered to the programme and operational stakeholders.

Report on a range of KPIs as requested.

Learning Management System Administration

Manage, administrate, and maintain the LMS. This will include the upkeep of online courses and course areas to support the PET-CT Academys educational offerings.

Create course areas following the appropriate brand guidelines.

Manage access rights, audiences and enrolments for all users of the LMS, to ensure a high-quality experience, whilst accurately contributing to reporting in relation to assessment and tracking.

Contribute to the administration of assessment processes with the LMSs, ensuring appropriate feedback and reporting processes.

Provide first line technical support and maintenance for relevant LMS, including the provision of systems administration, support for enrolments, tracking and assessment and site/course configuration.

Manage and monitor the LMS support inbox, responding to queries in an efficient and proactive manner.

Create how to guides and training videos which support colleagues in utilising the LMS environments appropriately, to meet individual, departmental and organisational needs.

With colleagues, engage in robust quality assurance processes, to ensure that the LMS, functionality, usability and materials meet quality standards.

Attend meetings and follow up on action points.

Support with the delivery of events as required.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • oEducated to GCSE standard, including English Language and Mathematics Grade C or Grade 4 and above, or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
  • oNVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3, A-Level(s) or T-Level(s) or equivalent in appropriate subject

Desirable

  • oRelevant professional qualification or training

Experience

Essential

  • oExperience in managing and reporting on a range of data
  • oPrioritising and managing busy workload
  • oExperience in an administrative or similar role

Desirable

  • oExperience in providing first line support to a range of key personnel
  • oKnowledge of the maintenance and administration of an LMS e.g. Totara, Moodle and Blackboard
