Doctors with experience in Oncology are invited to join theBankfor ad-hoc shifts atHCA Healthcare UKs private patient facility The Harborne Hospital, in Birmingham.

  • Location: Birmingham
  • Pay: £60 65 per hour, paid weekly.

Main duties of the job

Were looking for IMT or Higher Specialist Trainee Doctors (or equivalent), with experience and passion for Cancer Services, to join our medical team at The Harborne Hospital.

The Harborne Hospital is our 4th NHS Joint Venture and a brand-new, purpose built, state-of-the-art £100m facility that opened in January. Built in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, the hospital has deep clinical infrastructure and offers a variety of outpatient and inpatient services across 50 beds, including 10 Outpatient Chemotherapy Day case Chairs and 6 level 3 critical care beds.

HCA Healthcare UK has extensive experience in delivering Cancer Services to patients, including The Christie Private Care, HCA at UCH, and Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) in London. Alongside this organisational expertise, we have some of the leading Haematology & Oncology Consultants from the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to be among the first Haematology / Oncology Resident Doctors at the facility, playing a key role in the opening of our Cancer Services locally.

As a doctor on our bank, youll learn from experts in a range of specialist fields, experience the benefits of using the latest technology, and enjoy the satisfaction of being able to make a difference to the lives of patients, with low patient ratios, in well-resourced environments focused on quality and safety.

Bank Doctorscommitting to at least 2-3 shifts a month, gain invaluable experience alongside leading consultants in facilities designed with quality care front of mind.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Applicants will need:
  • GMC Registration and License to Practice in the UK
  • Completed Foundation Years training and additionally at minimum IMT-2 (Or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1 year experience in Oncology / Haematology
  • Desirably you will have post qualification exams, relevant to specialist area e.g MRCP
  • A passion for team-work, patient focused care with the ability to build and share best practice and offer a first-class patient experience.
