Job summary

In alignment with the CDC implementation, SHFT has created a new position: the Radiology Accreditation & Quality Manager. This role is pivotal in supporting the coordination of diagnostic accreditation processes, which are integral to the Trust's mission of delivering "High Quality and Compassionate Care to our Community." The incumbent will oversee and guide the accreditation activities for Radiology across various SHFT and UHS locations, serving as a proactive exemplar, initially focusing on the Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI).

Main duties of the job

Achievement will be realized by:

- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to radiology diagnostic services on their path to accreditation, promoting a culture that prioritizes high-quality patient care.

- Collaborating with CDC sites, service leads, and medical leads to ensure that the multi-disciplinary team is unified in the pursuit of quality accreditation.

- Implementing and sustaining systems and processes that maintain high standards.

- Overseeing data reporting obligations and ensuring compliance with Trust requirements.

- Assisting in the further evaluation of AHP services to facilitate quality improvements and accreditation where suitable.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator with advanced project management skills, capable of efficiently coordinating and implementing activities to secure accreditation compliance.

The individual must be highly driven and well-organized, possessing in-depth knowledge of Radiology and the capacity to handle a multifaceted workload, aiding different services on their path to accreditation.

The appointee will possess extraordinary interpersonal abilities, firmly dedicated to recognizing the significance of cultivating productive relationships with essential stakeholders.

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.
