Job summary
This is an opportunity for a band 5 nurse with a keen interest in wound care to join the Swansea Bay Wound Care Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our dynamic team, with an interest in innovative working within the field of wound care.
Main duties of the job
This is a 7 day service providing wound care across the Swansea Bay footprint. The service undertakes diagnostic assessments, and works closely with other community services to ensure optimal treatments and outcomes for patients. We aim to provide gold standard wound care through professional development and evidences based practice.
The Wound Care service has numerous clinics across Swansea and Neath/Port Talbot and the successful applicant will be expected to work at any of these clinics when required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualification/Experience
Essential
- 1st level Registered Nurse (R.G.N) qualified to Diploma /Degree level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exposure or experience in wound management.
- Team Working skills

- Evidence of post registration study
- Experienced in mentorship
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- Self motivated
- Ability to work on own initiative
