You will work collaboratively with Merseycare Mental Health Team, Change Grow Live (recovery staff), and HMPPS staff to ensure the best possible care is provided to the patients.
Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities such as:
Supporting multi-disciplinary team's such as:
o Diabetic retinopathy screening
o AAA screening
o Ultrasounds and X-Rays
Medication rounds and dispensing
Emergency response situations
Patient assessments
Nurse-led clinics, such as:
o NHS Health Checks
o Immunisations and Vaccinations
o NHS Bowel Screening
o Phlebotomy clinics
o Wound and Tissue Viability assessments.
Assessing new patients who have just arrived at the establishment for the first time.
Complete clinical assessments
Triaging the acutely unwell patients

Knowledge and Experience

- Awareness of current healthcare issues
- Awareness of clinical governance, risk management and quality agenda
- Working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
- Experience of appraisal and clinical supervision There is a requirement to undertake training to become proficient in the use of SystemOne

- Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on health care delivery in a prison setting
