An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic radiographer who holds a UK regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) level 7 postgraduate qualification in mammography and has current mammography experience to join our friendly multi-disciplinary breast team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our clinical breast service is based at The Breast Care Centre within the Captain Sir Tom Moore Building at Halton Hospital in Runcorn. This role is primarily clinically based where you will undertake a range of mammographic procedures as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme and our Symptomatic Breast Service.

Part-time hours will be considered.

A full UK driving license and use of a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of our highly skilled team and be actively involved in producing high quality, diagnostic mammography examinations for the NHS Breast Screening Programme and our Symptomatic Breast Service.

You will contribute to our family history, breast cancer follow-up and screening assessment clinics. Perform additional imaging including, magnification views and digital breast tomosynthesis. Also assisting our Advanced Practitioners and Radiologists with stereotactic interventional breast procedures.

Rotation between our 3 static screening/symptomatic sites to include The Breast Care Centre at Halton Hospital, St Helen's Hospital (Burney Breast Unit) and Bath Street Health and wellbeing Centre. We also have a brand-new, state of the art mobile breast screening unit which visits 5 sites within the 4 boroughs that our screening service covers.

Experience

Essential

  • Clinical mammography experience

Qualifications

  • BSc/DCR Diagnostic Radiography
  • UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RFQ) level 7 postgraduate qualification in mammography
