THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION

Ward stock control and replenishment.

On a rotational basis , ward stock levels to be topped up and put away correctly with regards to rotation and expiry dates and also safe and secure storage.

Regular review of stock lists liaising with ward pharmacists and ward staff.

Main duties of the job

There is an exciting opportunity in the pharmacy department for a band 2 - 3 ward based assistant

The successful candidate will already hold, or be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy Services.

Ward based stock replenishment and control. Review of stock and recycling where appropriate .

Liaising with ward staff and ward pharmacist

Monitoring of safe storage

Ward based stock control and replenishment . Ward stock reviews , recycling and rotation .

Cost saving ,storage monitoring .

Putting stock away, rotation , expiry date checking .

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
