The post holder will cover a maternity leave caseload. This is a fixed term contract and can be a secondment opportunity.
They will carry out specialist assessments and treatment and provide advice for patients on their caseload in community settings. They will work closely with primary care teams to ensure that interventions are delivered in a timely manner.
Applicants must hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and previous experience working within the NHS is essential.
Must be able to work independently, show initiative, drive and enthusiasm. Good communication skills are essential.
Applicants must have the ability to travel independently across Flintshire sometimes at short notice, travel will involve carrying bulky equipment on occasions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder works as part of the Community and Primary Care Occupational Therapy Service.
Thepost holder works autonomously with emphasis being placed on multi-disciplinary working andmulti-agency collaboration. Under the supervision of a Band 7 they have specific responsibility for:-
Holding their own clinical caseload.
Clinical supervision and development of more junior staff.
The post holder will carry out assessments and treatment and provide advice for patients on their caseload in community settings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
