We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitionerto join our Primary Careteam at HMP Highpointa category c prison located in the village of Stradishall, Suffolk. The prisons houses around 1300 patients across 2 sites and would suit a GP who has an interest in end to end care as well as long term conditions. Within this role you will be supported by 3 permanent GP's and 2 permanent ANP's, working within the bank role offers flexibility for both working times and shift patterns.
Hours
Shifts will be based between Monday to Friday usual clinical hours are 8.30-5pm however the site can offer flexibility with this
Salary This role overs a bank salary of £87 per hour

Main duties of the job
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management
- Prescribing for patients, regularly review medications and monitor repeat prescriptions
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. Including diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate in line with guidelines and pathways. Qualifications required
- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
