An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Paediatric Specialist Dietitian post. The post holder will be working within a well-established, innovative and proactive Paediatric team that provides a service to children aged 0-18 years referred by acute and community practitioners across Rotherham.We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dietitian, with excellent clinical, communication and team working skills.The 34 strong team are warm, friendly, supportive and forward thinking. We are unique in that we provide a national award winning Nutritional Prescribing service in Rotherham for the SYICB (South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board) and have been awarded Clinical Team of the year by our Trust. We are a fully integrated service with Hospital and Community and have excellent links with our SYICB, GPs, Hospital Specialist services and surrounding Trusts. As a department, we support and encourage CPD and are an active participant in Student dietetic training clustering with Nottingham University and Sheffield Hallam University. Our Trust is one of the early implementers of Fully Integrated Community and Hospital Services.Due to the nature of
the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently
across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

To provide specialist dietetic expertise to patients, their families and health care professionals within Paediatric Services, in both Hospital and Community settings.

- Evidence of development and supervision of staff and students.

Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Dietetics
- Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
- Previous experience of working as a Band 5 Dietitian
Desirable
- Post-graduate qualifications relevant to
- Paediatric Dietetics to Masters level or equivalent BDA member
- Completed recognised IT course e.g. ECDL/Elite/MOST
- Paediatric Dietetic Experience
