We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced Bank X-ray Radiographer to join our small, dynamic and friendly team of professionals.
Our Radiology service is located within a purpose-built Diagnostics Centre, in the market town of High Wycombe (in Buckinghamshire). Located on the edge of the Chiltern hills, High Wycombe is conveniently situated close to the M40, with good train links to Oxford and London.
Main duties of the job
The diagnostics department offers MRI, Ultrasound and Echocardiograms and the local MSK and Physiotherapy service is co-located enabling close working with other healthcare professionals.
Our X-ray suite is modern and spacious containing a state-of-the-art DR system which with Samsung software that was installed two years ago. Our patients are pre-dominantly GP referred or outpatients from the MSK service.
About us
As our Bank X-ray Radiographer, you will be -
- Be HCPC registered (or equivalent) with BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or DCR(R) qualification
- Be expected to produce a high standard of professional radiographic practice at all times, maintaining a level of professional accountability in accordance with the SOR / COR statements of professional conduct, whilst undertaking all radiographic duties performed within the scope of practice of the appointed role
- Be able to Clinically justify x-ray referrals using referral acceptance criteria defined within the Practice Plus Group (PPG) referral and scanning protocols and also validate reports that have been produced.
- Be able to work both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, managing examination workload effectively and producing a consistently high quality and safe level of care for all patients.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills and represent the values of PPG.
