*Doctors Direct* have an exciting opportunity for a *Consultant* to work with us in *Harlow *to work in *Gastroenterology*.

We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the Harlow, Essex community.

This Role is an ongoing fulltime placement opportunity within the fast paced care of the Gastroenterology department. This role would be predominantly based in Harlow, Essex area with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts’ other sites and any of our partner Trusts.

*Your key responsibilities will be to:*
* Provision with Consultant colleagues of a gastroenterology service with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the Department.
* Work in multidisciplinary teams
* Ensure excellent verbal and written communication with all patients and their carers, students and all members of staff directly or indirectly involved with the department
* Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff
* Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and for contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education activity, locally and nationally.

* *Shift pattern:* 9:00-17:00 or 8:00-16:00
* *Hours per week*: 40-50 hours available per week

* *Rate of pay: *£92.50-£110 per hour (depending on experience)
* *Payment method: PAYE *we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
