Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Urology department as a Ambulatory Care ANP for our well established team.
The post holder will work as part of the Acute Surgical Team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis. You must work within your own professional scope of practice by acknowledging your limitations as an ANP and when appropriate seek senior and specialist advice.
Main duties of the job
Be dynamic and proactive in pioneering the role of ANP in response to the challenging health care needs and advances in practice
Support the development and implementation of high quality Ambulatory Care in the Trust
Demonstrate clinical skills and competence to provide care for the patient including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care
Demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care including assessment and diagnostic skills
Work collaboratively within the health care teams to meet medical needs of the patient supports by pathways of care
Deliver a professional approach to the provision of high quality nursing interventions, acting as a role model to junior staff.

- Masters degree in Advanced Nursing Practice/Autonomous Clinical Practice
- Formal teaching and mentorship qualification or equivalent experience

- Specialist courses pertinent to the acute care environment

- Management and leadership experience
- Management of patients with complex healthcare needs demonstrated in work history
Desirable
- Extensive experience within acute care environments with significant specialty experience.
