Job summary

The ENT service provides a comprehensive range of emergency and elective services to the local community in addition to acting as a referral centre for more complex procedures and tertiary referrals. The service has excellent links with Audiology, Speech and Language Therapy and Oncology. Advanced facilities and expertise are available including head and neck surgery, including robotics, facial plastics and rhinology, voice clinics, paediatric ENT including complex airway and otology.

We are seeking an experienced ENT trust grade to work in our dept, alongside the existing complement of ENT Specialty trainees. This post would ideally suit someone who has completed or are nearing completion of Higher Specialist Training in ENT Surgery, and who wishes to enhance their skills and experience within a dynamic and supportive environment such as the Barts ENT department.

Main duties of the job

This is a new, fully funded substantive post, to support the oncall service both in working hours and 1:8 oncall out of hours. It also includes the opportunity to work directly with all the subspecialty teams in both clinic and theatre, and will provide excellent training across the range of ENT, paediatric ENT and head and neck conditions.
