Applications are invited for the post clinical fellow in gynaecological oncology at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This post is a 1-year fixed term post with exciting opportunity for trainees who wish to pursue a career in gynaecological oncology.

The posts will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, although you will be expected to work at any of the Trust's sites.

Participation in the registrar on-call rota for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1 in 9) is expected.

Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise.

The post will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, although you will be expected to work at any of the Trust's sites. The post is ideal for those preparing for entry into gynaecological oncology subspecialty training and for those wishing to gain wider oncology experience including development of a research portfolio.

This post is principally linked to the Gynaecology Oncology team and includes a day for clinical research. There will be exposure to all aspects of gynaecology oncology surgery including ultra-radical surgery, minimal access surgery and sentinel node procedures. There is also some aspects of general obstetrics and gynaecology commitment and involves working on the junior registrar rota including obstetrics. Supervision is provided by senior registrars and consultants.

There is routine ward work, Consultants' rounds, out-patient clinics, on call and operation sessions. You will be responsible for the upkeep of patient's notes and undertake a share of completing discharge letters to General Practitioners promptly.
