A-Z OF SERVICES

Sonography uses ultrasound technology to scan and generate images of the inside of the body. Commonly, ultrasound is used to view and scan the foetus during pregnancy, but sonography also refers to echocardiography, and the technology is utilised by different medical specialties as part of their monitoring and diagnostic investigations. Sonography is practiced in diagnostic radiology departments, GP clinics, and in other specialist medical areas, such as obstetric and gynaecology clinics. Medical specialists, nurses, radiographers, and healthcare scientists may perform ultrasound scans.
