Job summary

Hailsham Medical Group are looking for a keen and enthusiastic GP to join our friendly and successful training practice. Candidates seeking differing options are encouraged to apply - all variations will be considered.

Main duties of the job

To undertake a variety of duties including telephone consultations and appropriate face to face consultations.

You will use your expert clinical knowledge and skills and prescribe accordingly.

Hailsham Medical Group - Salaried GP Required

We are seeking a Salaried GP ideally for 6 sessions per week, although this is negotiable.

Hailsham Medical Group (Seaforth Farm and Vicarage Field Surgeries) is an established practice serving some 11000 patients in the expanding market town of Hailsham and surrounding villages.

Hailsham is a scenic location near the South Downs National Park and The Sunshine Coast. It is the perfect place to enjoy an outdoor lifestyle and is within easy reach of the shopping and cultural towns of Eastbourne, Brighton, Lewis and Royal Tunbridge Wells. There are nearby transportation connections to both Central London and Europe.

We are a training practice handling Medical Students from Brighton University. We hold regular Clinical Meetings and in-house educational events and special clinical interests are encouraged and supported.

We are currently based in two purpose built surgery sites; however, we are working closely with Wealden District Council with plans for a new surgery development in the next two years.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge of the NHS
  • Understand the health and social needs of the practice population
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Understand the current demands and issues facing Primary Care today

Desirable

  • Conversant with EMIS Web
  • Understanding of QOF
