Job summary
We are seeking to recruit motivated, committed and enthusiastic Salaried GPs to join our dynamic team at The Connaught Square Practice and The Westbourne Green Surgery.
We are offering up to 6 sessions per GP per week, for a rate of £11,500-£12,500 per session, depending on experience.
We are a busy friendly practice based in Central London who place patient care and evidence based medicine at the forefront of our clinical practice. We operate across two sites with a patient population size of over 15,000.
This is an exciting opportunity for successful applicants to build on their previous experience as they will be exposed to a wide range of conditions and challenges that are unique to being based in Central London.

Main duties of the job
- Consulting with and, where appropriate, carrying physical assessments to formulate a diagnosis and reduce the risk of illness, disease or injury
- Assessing
the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed
problems
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health professionals within the organisation
- Providing counselling and health education
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Prescribing in accordance with practice prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to operate
across the full remit of clinical activity, taking part in all aspects of Practice life, and to undertake administrative/managerial tasks as directed.
Clinical role
- Telephone/advice/triage according to surgery policies
- Home visits according to surgery policy and patient need
- Other clinical duties as required
Administrative role
- Personal administration related to clinical work
- Participation in rota to cover practice administration (pathology results, patient correspondence, etc.)
Managerial role
- Identified project management tasks agreed with the Partnership
- Clinical leadership in aspects of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and local enhanced services. While it is clearly not envisaged that the post-holder is the sole contributor, this function gives him/her the opportunity to manage a process and involve others in the practice in developing a process that leads to improved clinical outcomes
- Attendance at weekly Practice Multi-disciplinary meetings
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Current GMC Registration
- Up to date Medical Indemnity
- Certification of completion of GP training
- On Performers list
- MRCGP or equivalent
- Working knowledge of QOF and clinical coding
Desirable
- Additional postgraduate professional qualification
- Relevant experience of clinical audits
