Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Adult Nurse to join Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) & the Medical Day Case Unit (MDCU) at the Princess Royal Hospital.
SDEC is responsible for the assessment, care planning, intervention and evaluation of patient fitting criteria for same day emergency care and admission avoidance pathways. MDCU is responsible to provide urgent infusion treatment or diagnostic testing appropriate for the area including endocrine studies, planned blood transfusion, regular medication infusion, iron infusions, etc.
Informal visits are very welcome.
We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a enthusiastic nurse who has a keen interest in acute and ambulatory care, patient assessment and admission avoidance.
You will work as part of a team responsible for a group of patients, delivering patient centered care which is evidenced based and patient centred. You will undertake a variety of tasks, participating in the assessment, implementation and delivery of treatment. You will work closely with colleagues from across the MDT.
