Do you have experience of working in the field of HR, Organisational Development, Workforce, Staff Experience/Engagement or Retention, and have knowledge and experience in leading large-scale programmes of work?

Have you worked strategically at an organisation or ICS (Integrated Care System) level and have knowledge and experience of the factors that influence staff experience and staff retention in the NHS? Can you demonstrate an understanding of how to utilise data to enable effective decision making and are you able to communicate clearly, creatively, respectfully, with the widest possible range of people?

If you answer yes to the above and are passionate and driven to deliver transformational change, we have an exciting opportunity for a newly created fixed-term People Promise Manager role in our organisation that will offer a challenging and interesting programme of work.

Main duties of the job

As a People Promise Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and embedding all elements of the NHS People Promise within the organisation. You will work collaboratively across the organisation, the ICS and with other designated People Promise Managers from other Health and Care organisations to maximise opportunities to retain staff across the NHS and Social Care.

As well as being embedded into the organisation's structure, you will build strong relationships with the NHSE Regional Retention Manager and colleagues in the National Retention Programme as required.

Qualifications/training and professional development

Essential

  • Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Desirable

  • Membership of a professional body

Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of leading large-scale programmes of work
  • Experience of applying a structured change management approach and methodology in relation to change management
  • Experience in developing Health & Care related business plans and provide expert strategic and policy advice and guidance on all areas of the required portfolio

Desirable

  • Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects

Skills, abilities, and knowledge

  • Demonstrate effective stakeholder engagement
