Job summary

Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.

The postholders will have a high level of accountability and responsibility for programmes of work, line management of other clinical leads in their areas and aspects of budgetary responsibility. These roles are also likely to have responsibility across multiple areas of work or programmes with significant requirements for external engagement. The postholder will be required to have significant levels of relevant expertise and substantial previous leadership experience. Three Clinical Directors will be appointed as individual Delivery Alliance Leads to each of our three Alliances.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical/Care Professional Lead for the Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA) is a key post within the Lambeth Together Care Partnership. The postholder will collaborate with the LWNA teams, and the members/organisations represented by the Lambeth Clinical Cabinet, to provide leadership on a range of associated workstreams.

o Acting as a key interface with LWNA, other alliances, other stakeholders, and locally to the Lambeth Together Assurance Group and Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board.o Providing clinical / care professional leadership and guidance on associated key issues and projects locally and supporting the mind and body agenda.o To form part of the collective decision-making and strategic direction-setting of adult mental health services as a member of the Lambeth Clinical Cabinet.o To recognise that social injustice, deprivation, and traumatic experiences are major factors impacting mental health and wellbeing and to support work in tackling these issues and reducing inequalities.o To provide support and supervision to other Clinical and Care Professional leaders and improving outcomes.

Person Specification

Qualifications/Education

Essential

  • Qualified care and/or clinical professional i.e., NMC, HCPC, social work register, GMC, etc.
  • Postgraduate degree or higher professional qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Project Management or programme management certification or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Leadership training qualification

Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Understand the challenges of health inequalities and principles of identifying and addressing these
  • High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in a clear concise manner.

Desirable

  • Bringing together collaborative groups or networks
  • Significant experience of leading, managing, developing, influencing and inspiring staff.
