We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join our Community Mental Health Teams.

This team is proactive in embedding and utilising multidisciplinary roles to provide recovery and outcome focussed interventions to service users, whilst meeting local and national targets.

The successful candidate will be an experienced mental health professional with knowledge and skills in leadership, managing staff, complex and demanding situations and be a team player committed to innovation and service development. The successful candidate will work at ease within the current transformation to support the team through relevant changes. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their personal alignment with the Trust's Values. The candidate will establish relationships and communication links with their local neighbourhoods and primary care PCNs. They will have a good understanding of the population health needs of that locality.

This role requires the ability to multitask; incorporating service development, operational and people management. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential and an ability to effectively negotiate and build relationships with staff within the team, with other services and key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will have experience in the leadership and supervision of clinical staff and have excellent knowledge of health and social care policy relating to the delivery of mental health care.

As the Team Manager you will be expected to input into service evaluations and audits as well as carry out the managerial responsibilities of appraisals, managing sickness/absence and training for staff. Innovation and a creative approach are encouraged and being a positive role model is essential. The team consists of a number of professionals which include nurses, social workers, AMHPs, occupational therapists and psychologists some of whom you will be expected to line manage directly or via the Section 75 agreement. Social Workers from the beginning of October 23 will be managed by Social Care Team Leaders/Managers.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

As the successful candidate you must have a professional qualification i.e., nursing, occupational therapist or social worker, with substantial post registration experience as a qualified professional of which you will have recent experience working with clients within a secondary care mental health setting.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You may occasionally need to work flexibly outside regular office hours to respond to service user need.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Relevant Professional Qualification i.e RMN, DipCOT
  • Current unrestricted registration with HCPC/NMC
  • Specialist expertise across a range of procedures
  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma
  • Specialist managerial training
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Essential

  • Excellent written communication skills

EXPERIENCE

  • Substantial experience in a Community Mental health care setting
  • Significant experience of risk assessment and positive risk management
