team at Torkard Hill Medical Centre, Nottinghamshire. We seek to recruit a
motivated & enthusiastic qualified Nurse ideally with experience in General
Practice.
You will bring your skills and
enthusiasm and we will offer you a committed team with a real emphasis on

We are looking for someone with
excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills that will join our
team to cover a maternity leave for at least one year. The nursing team currently comprises of 5 practice
nurses, 3 HCA's and a phlebotomist.
The post will provide an
important and integral service within our vibrant Practice, helping to assist
our patient population maximise their full health potential. The post holder
will be working alongside the nursing and medical team ensuring that the
surgery is able to offer a broad range of healthcare services. The nurse will be
expected to provide a range of services, including phlebotomy, wound management,
health reviews, and management of long-term conditions and supporting our
patients to make and maintain positive healthy lifestyle choices.
Full time post 37.5 hours
(part time hours to be considered for the right candidate)
Hours to be discussed working within
the hours of 8am 6:30pm across 5 days.
Please note the successfully
candidate time will be divided between in surgery clinics and home visits.

Job responsibilities
The role requires staff to be able to use their initiative to deliver high standards of patient care, supported by the other members of the clinical team, predominately domiciliary care to housebound and care home residents or surgery clinics.
Main clinical
duties and responsibilities:
Phlebotomy/Anticoagulation.Wound management.Management of long-term conditions.Health screening &
measurements including bp, weight, height.ECGBlood glucose testing.Provide education &
encouragement to patients to self-manage conditions.Administer vaccinationsSupport and
manage health needs of women presenting for contraceptive and sexual
health services, cervical screening and sexual health consultations.
